A mother I work for makes these garbanzo beans regularly for her two-year old daughter. They are super simple and very tasty.

I prefer to use home cooked beans, but if you are going to use canned beans I think Eden brand is the best. Eden prepares their beans with kombu, a seaweed that increases the digestibility of beans and adds minerals.

I have added some more ideas at the bottom, but these beans are also really great as is.

Sautéed Garbanzo Beans

2 tsp olive oil
2 cups cooked garbanzo beans, drained (rinse if they are super salty)
a few pinches sea salt (adjust according to the saltiness of the beans)
a few grinds of fresh black pepper

1.  Heat a medium size skillet on a low-medium heat. As soon as the oil is hot, add the garbanzo beans and the salt.

2.  Sauté until most of the liquid evaporates from the beans, taking care to not let them get overly dry. Remove from heat.

3.  Stir in the pepper. Enjoy!

Notes:
I haven’t tried it, but I think a squeeze of lemon juice would taste great.
You can also add some oregano, chopped garlic or chopped fresh rosemary at the beginning.
